Carlos Eduardo Seo
Currently working as a Software Engineer at IBM Linux Technology Center, being a member of the Linux on Power Toolchain department, responsible for feature development, bug fixing and business partners support regarding Linux debugging tools and architecture-tuned toolchain for IBM Power platform. He has expertise in low level designs for IBM Power, including knowledge of the ABI and ISA, and is currently one of the GDB project maintainers. Mr. Seo is also responsible for several IBM patents in both U.S. and Canada, having expertise in the invention patenting procedures. Prior to that, he worked at AsGa Sistemas as a R&D System Analyst, developing low level telephony signaling software for embedded Motorola Power systems. At AsGa, he was also responsible for the design and implementation of a network monitoring solution for one of the largest wire line telephony companies in Brazil. He has a M.S. and a B.S degrees in Electrical Engineering, both at Unicamp. Worked at WissTek from 2004 to 2005 with research regarding MAC protocols for ad-hoc wireless networks during a partnership between the lab and CPqD.

Research interests include: wireless networks; low level software designs; statistical modeling of markets.

Álvaro Augusto Machado de Medeiros
Currently working as a Research Engineer at Nokia Technology Institute, being a member of the WiMAX R&D department. He has expertise in link and system level network simulation and peformance analysis. Received his B. Elec. Eng. degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, UFRN, Brazil in 2000, after one year as CAPES/DAAD scholar at the RWTH - Aachen, Germany. During his graduate studies, he worked as an internship at Ericsson Eurolab GmbH, Germany, and Telemar, Brazil. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the State University of Campinas, UNICAMP, Brazil, in 2002 and 2007, respectively. He worked at WissTek from 2000 to 2007 with research regarding capacity and interference in multiservice CDMA systems (M.Sc.) and ad hoc network capacity and planning (Ph.D.). His research interests include wireless communications and mobile networks.

David Muñoz Gallego
Graduated in Electrical Engineering with emphasys on Telecommunications from the Javeriana Pontiff University, Bogotá DC., Colombia in 2003. During his graduate studies, he worked as an internship at Occidental Petrolums Inc. In 2006, he received the M.SC. degree from the State University of Campinas, UNICAMP, Brazil.

José Ricardo Mendes
Graduated in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Telecommunications from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil in 2003. In 2006, he received the M.Sc. degree from UNICAMP. He is currently working at CEMIG, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Marina Borgonovo
Electrical Engineer graduated at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil, 1998. During her under graduation studies, she worked as an intern at Telesc Celular, a cellular telecommunication operator in Brazil. She joined Lucent Technologies right after she achieved her bachelor's degree actuating as a radio frequency engineer, performing RF network design and optimization of diverse mobile communication systems. In 2005, she received the M.Sc. degree at Unicamp and her research tackles the Differentiated Call Admission Control and Bandwidth Scheduling for Mobile Communication Systems of 3rd and Further Generation.

Graduated in Electrical Engineereing from the Federal University of Pernambuco, UFPE, Brazil, in 1997. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the State University of Campinas, UNICAMP, Brazil, in 2002 and 2006, respectively. He worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University (Star Lab Group) - USA. Currently, Dr. Fraidenraich is Assistant Professor at UNICAMP and his research interests include Multiple Antenna Systems, OFDM, UWB and Wireless Communications in general.

Yusef Rafael Cáceres Zúñiga
Received his B. Elec. Eng. degree from the Pontiff Catholic University of Peru, PUCP, in 1997. During his graduate studies, he worked as an internship at Peruvian Institute of Nuclear Energy (IPEN). He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the State University of Campinas, UNICAMP, Brazil, in 2001 and 2007, respectively.

Graduated in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Telecommunications from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil in 2006. During his graduate studies, he worked on two undergraduate research projects about performance of wireless ad hoc networks. In 2008, he received the M.Sc. degree from UNICAMP.

Graduated in Telecommunications Engineering at IME (Military Engineering Institute), Brazil, in 2003. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas, Unicamp, Brazil, in 2006 and 2008, respectively. Currently, Dr. Costa is working as Postdoctoral Fellow at I'NRS-Énergie, Matériaux et Télécommunucation, University of Quebec, Canada. His research interest include Channel modeling and simulation, MIMO and diversity systems, Multihop communications and user cooperative diversity, Cognitive radio, and Wireless Communications in general.

Elvio J. Leonardo
Received his B. Elec. Eng. and M.Sc. (Elec.Eng.) from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil in 1984 and 1992, respectively. From 1984 to 1992 he worked at the Research and Development Center (CPqD) of Telebrás, Brazil. In 1992 he moved to Australia, where he worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Sydney. In 1995 he joined Motorola Inc., where he worked as Software Engineer until 2002. He moved back to Brazil to take a position of Assistant Professor at the State Univesity of Londrina.
